Great focal points Michelle. I am one of the laggers regarding Twitter, but I can see from what is going on around me I need to get up to speed.I also am waiting for a "kiler app" for video production. Animoto is close, but the average marketer needs a slick, quick, easy way to record videos with audio/screen capture/etc at a reasonable cost .... and Camtasia ain't it....

Great Post Michelle! If you're not using Twitter and other Web 2.0 sites you're going to be left in the dust in 2009 I think.

I also think that 2009 will be another great year to build quality relationships online and use the power of JV's to help build our businesses.

Something I'm doing is doing list swaps with folks to help build each others lists...

If anyone is interested you can find me on Twitter here...

Just email me there...

Best Wishes To All in 2009!

Michele,

Great insight to the upcoming year.

I totally agree with the direction of video especially. We've seen YouTube (amongst others) take off on the heels of Google's acquiring them and I think it's only the tip of the iceberg.

Thanks for the post.

Hi Michelle,
Thanks for your predictions and I'm sure your not far off the mark.

I'm implementing your Social Media Daily Checklist into my business and I appreciate the valuable guide and information you continue to provide.

One question I have for you is how many staff do you have and what percentage of the work do you outsource?

As a newbie, I'm wanting initially do as much as I possibly can so I learn what is involved. Then as my business grows I will look to outsourcing more of the jobs.
From doing doing the job initially, I feel I'll be able to easily communicate and monitor the jobs I've outsourced.

I would appreciate any suggestions or guidance you have to offer.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Safe and Prosperous 2009.

Cheers,
Dean Hohn

Hi Michelle, enjoyed your article and I'm sure you won't be far wrong. I'm a newbie and view internet marketing as different level's of progression, similar too when you start to train to run a marathon. At first you have a gentle run, maybe a couple of miles and for the first few runs your legs ache and people say "oh you should be doing this" So you might deviate from your original plan/advice and soon realise that you are'nt making the progress that you might have done, had you stuck with the original plan. But your persistent and eventually don't listen to the distractions and background noise from the guru's who say you can do this marathon on a "couple" of hours
"work" a day. Because you always knew that you where going to have to work really hard, for this marathon actually has no finish line and you should pick with great care, the people who accompany you on this journey. Because if you don't you will find yourself running down blind alleys that will lead to frustration and bitterness and almost certain crushing disapointment.
So I would add, Michelle, in 2009, find someone you can trust and stick with them, follow their advice and example and persist, persist and persist some more. I'll be sticking with you and a few other sources and that's it. So thanks, in anticipation for 2009. Best wishes to everyone. Mark.
