Hi Michelle,
These are points that I hadn't actually thought of. And I also didn't know that Bit.ly was associated to Twitter. I totally agree that the less we can depend on 3rd party resources when it involves the money, the better. And using our own domain as redirects is an excellent idea.

I totally agree with Eren, To make profit online we should not depend on 3rd party…
redirection is useful only if you are using your own domain….
