I discussed Blog Rush & Traffic Jam in a recent post, and Andy Beard has followed up with a comprehensive pros-n-cons look at the services from John Reese. One tool he mentioned was the Blog Rush Click Maximizer plugin for Wordpress.
This plugin allows you to change your post title to something a bit more BlogRush friendly - I’ve found that numbers pull well through the service.
I’ve installed it and will be checking out the results to see if it increases clicks - which would then put my blog higher up in the TrafficJam listings and theoretically increase traffic from the service.
As Andy discusses, Blog Rush has gotten a bit of bad press for low click through ratings. My posts thus far get about 1 click to my site for every 350 widget displays on other people’s sites. That’s really not bad for a blog widget.
My blog title is “Social Marketing” so it’s displayed on the Blog Rush widget with the post name and the line “Social Marketing” underneath it - which isn’t a very interesting term in and of itself. I also wonder if changing my blog title via Blog Rush’s admin panel would help click throughs.
Regardless, I’ll be playing around with my post titles via BlogRush Click Maximizer and will report back with any results!
Did you like the registration process for the plugin?
It honestly ruined my sleep patterns over the weekend.

Ha ha! I think it’s brilliant, from a marketing standpoint. But definitely leave a bit to be desired on the usability front.
Version 1.2.2 of BlogRush Click Maximizer is available now… worth to try.
p.s. I like your “line-style art” in your blog theme ![]()
