Getting a catchy name for your next software or web application is important in these days of Web 2.0. Web surfers, and Google have wizened up to the old “how-to-get-cheap-life-insurance-info.info” trick.
You need quick, you need interesting, you need fun. But at the same time, you need something that’s somehow descriptive of your service. One of the things that, in the beginning, made Twitter such a hit was that the name – while not a “real” word, was totally descriptive of what the service provided: a place for people to “twitter’ little thoughts as they stream by.
I was very amused when i came across the Web 2.0 Name Generator; just hit “Generate Name!’ and it’ll spew out all kinds of Web 2-ish potential product names for you. The catch, of course, is to find one that actually fits your service. Catchy name software generators like the Web 2 Name Generator might not give you the best domain name right off the bat, but they can get your imagination flowing and LEAD you somewhere that’ll be a perfect fit.

OMG – between this tool and Market Samurai (yes, I just learned to spell Samurai three days ago) I’m going to run out of food because I can’t tear myself away from the screen.
Isn’t Market Samurai (I just learned to spell it too, LOL!) the tops! So many cool ideas flowing!
Very cool tool! I went to GoDaddy.com and tested some of the name they spun off… and I had a tough time finding out that was available…
… and then I accidently misspelled one of the words they gave me and THAT name was available. It’s actually a short, catchy name… I’m going to register it right now. Jeesh! I didn’t expect that to happen!!!
Now I just need to figure out a software to create around that name…
What software can you make for dogs???
Cool, maybe I’ll finally discover a name to use for the process I teach and take my students and clients through, when they want to create permanent unconditional freedom from unwanted conditions in their life. An unwanted condition here is any condition or experience in their life that they feel bad about. For example frustration is considered a bad feeling. If you are frustrated about something in your life, then that something–which is a condition in your life–becomes an unwanted condition. If you felt good about that something, it would be a wanted condition. What makes life with all its conditions (all the things in it) miserable is precisely the fact that you react emotionally to many of these conditions–you feel sad, frustrated, angry, worried, resentful, guilty, etc. about some of these conditions in life, and that’s what makes them UNWANTED conditions. I have developed a very simple process of asking questions and answering them honestly which has been shown to assist anyone interested in being free from a particular unwanted condition, in actually creating such freedom in a very short time (sometimes mere minutes), and to create such freedom from that particular UC without having to get rid of anything else first (thus the word UNCONDITIONAL freedom), and to create permanent freedom so that they would never experience theat UC ever again (and thus would not have to deal with, try to get rid of it ever again in the future). So far I have been calling this process, the unconditional freedom process. But it’s a long name that people could easily mispell when searching online, so finding a shorter, web 2.0 friendly name has been a desire of mine for a long time. If you have any ideas, feel free to leave me a message at AskDrClaude.com or at my website above. If your idea becomes my official process name, I will definitely reward you by taking you through this powerful process for free.
Check out http://www.namecombo.com It’s a really cool domain name generator and company name generator similar to Dotomator but with more word lists and the ability to create domain names with 1-4 words. You can find available domain names from a huge selection of word lists. You can customize lists with your own words which lets you come up with literally thousands of possible domain names incorporating your keywords if you wish. It offers bulk domain name lookup and domain registration. There is also both a three word version and four word version which are great for keyword driven domain name variations.
