Getting Some Background

Welcome to Day 16 of the Internet Marketing Makeover (#31DIMM for short)!

As we’ve discussed, physical and digital clutter leads to mental clutter, anxiety and underperformance.

In today’s 31DIMM Assignment, we’ll remove another aspect of clutter from our digital lives – the computer desktop!

DAY 16 OBJECTIVE

Clean your desktop.

DAY 16 ASSIGNMENT

Delete, delete, delete!

That’s the mantra today!

Most of the files we accumulate on our desktops are shortcuts to programs we didn’t want shortcuts for in the first place, temporary download files.

Today you’ll delete all that clutter.

Those files that you do need to keep should be organized according to Day 12’s 9 Folders principles.

A clean desktop is pure… zen.

Check mine out after I finished wiping it:

(On this Windows machine, I use a little program called John’s Background Switcher to change my desktop background periodically.  Just makes for some fun variety.)
