I’ve been watching this for some time – if you don’t already know, Matt Cutts confirmed that this data center 209.85.225.103 shows Caffeine results about 50% of the time.

Good post, Michelle. It will definitely be interesting to see what happens to rankings. The great Google sometimes giveth, and sometimes taketh away. I like the idea of better “real-time” indexing, though.

Thanks for the article. I noticed a minor grammar typo: “Any results you do notice are indicative of the changes that Caffeine has implements.” should be “Any results you do notice are indicative of the changes that Caffeine has implemented.”

There is a lot of buzz about this and actually there is talk about mormons and that mormons dislike the update being called caffeine but being a mormon myself, I don't see any offense. It will to interesting to see what happens over he next few weeks and months and the effects it will have.

I found this on Matt Cutts's blog. I'm interested in how this is going to really affect things – from what I can tell, it's more of an instant update than previous algorithms. Whether or not that's good, we'll see.
