Here’s How To Get 25 One-Way Links

by Michelle MacPhearson

It’s as simple at that… TextLinks is offering 25 one-way links, for free.

No catches – I’ve done it already, so this is a recommendation based on actually using the service.

A word on buying links: No, Google doesn’t want you to buy links.  Yes, Google has delisted websites it has found to buy links.  Should you use link building services like TextLinks? In my tests, using both TextLinks and many other services, I’ve never had a problem.  I believe the best way to use links like this is by ensuring these kinds of links are not the ONLY kind of link your site has.  See my post on Link Mixology for more information.

It’s a free trial offer but you don’t have to give TextLinks your credit card or PayPal account to get in.

When you select your links, you can choose to have sitewide or sidebar placement, or links in individual articles.  You even get to choose the anchor text you’d like!

Plus, you can link to your homepage or any internal page you’d like, TextLinks DOES allow for deep linking.

I used the TextLinks service in a case study site that’s being documented inside Crowd Mountain, and the site has performed excellently and is earning passive affiliate income.

And the links you get you keep for life!

25 free links, right?!  Go get em!

Hey Michelle,
I have also been doing my own test on purchasing links, so far I have had no problems with the sites I have been testing on. The test has been going for just on one year.

Thanks for the tip! No CC or Paypal required? I’m gonna give this a shot!

Thanks for the nice tip. I tend to doubt google’s ability to not only recognize paid links but also to recognize links that are relevant.

The exception would of course be that someone reported you.

I am currently ranking for terms based only only anchor text that are on pages that have no relevancy.

I am starting to think what google recommends and what google can add to their algorithm while indexing over a billion sites and still keep their processors cool are two different animals.

Just an opinion and we all have many.

Thanks for the great recommendation Michelle. NOthing beats FREE.

Martin November 30, 2009 at 11:38 am

I have signed up with them a couple of months ago, I set up 11 sidebar links. When I look up my target URL in Yahoo site explorer, I see none of those links… (you can check it yourself, it’s the url linked to this profile).
Links are on blogs with content from ezinearticles, those pages are not in google for phrases they contain.
Maybe it would work if I sent some link juice to those pages but I’m not sure google would like my site linking to those neighborhoods.

Michelle MacPhearson November 30, 2009 at 12:46 pm

@Martin – I can see all mine in Yahoo.

Remember that whether a page is on Google for a certain keyphrase has no bearing on whether your link was found or not.

And don’t ever link from your site to these sites, that defeats the whole purpose of it being a 1 Way link!!

Wow! Very cool! Always looking for more backlinks. Thanks!

Hi. I signed up today. And put in place 15 new sidebar links to an ezine article. Perhaps coincidentally, the article that had been # 1 in Google for several days (after steadily climbing up over the last month) dropped to #407.

Ouch!

Too many links, too fast? Can Google actually learn/adapt that quickly? Should I delete the links? Nothing else changed today so I have to image there is some connection.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks, Andy.

It depends on how old your site is, how many links you already had pointing to it and what kind of links they were (see the post I referenced on Link Mixology).

Than you Michelle for the links. I certainly appreciate any additional links.
Great job

Thanks for sharing Michelle :) I’m always scared to use a new service for my main sites so I was hoping to point a few of the links to a Squidoo lens, but it won’t let me, darn. I picked up a few contextual links for a fairly new site I just put up, so we’ll see how it goes. Hoping it gives the site a nice little start in backlink building.

Two hours later and now it’s back to where it was in the #1 spot!

Whew! Must have been Google reshuffling the deck for a few hours just to play with my head!

Thanks for your quick response Michelle.

Very nice and thanks for the info. I signed up and will test my online dating site.

I am nervous of using techniques such as these to be honest, but it is certainly worthy of a test to a spoke in a link wheel.

I’ll give it a go.

I went and did this too. Wouldn’t ever spend the money for their service though. Most of the content seems to be scraped from article directories and the blogs are not impressive.

I pinged all the pages that have my backlinks, at pinogmatic.

Kiduka December 3, 2009 at 5:49 pm

Thanks for sharing Michelle, I really needed those backlinks. But one thing I noticed is that some of those sites don’t load up and some domains are expired. You have to go through the existing links one by one to make sure you placed your link on a good site.

But I’m not really complaining since it was free, I just hope I get some good link juice because my website is thirsty.

I’ll have to look into this further on one of my non-essential websites.

Thank you Michelle

Thanks for the Tip, Michelle!

Just a short addon for your sayings above and, if permited, an article recommendation for your readers.

> Paid links are ussualy tracked down by human editors; an anchor text surrounded by themed content won’t expose itself;
> Links bought on theme related sites are very difficult to prove;
> Primary argument to consider a link as being paid for is its unnatural placement within the web page – stuffed among tens or hundreds fo similar links in “links” or “resource” pages, well ;
> as long as you pay for a link negociate also its the exact location;
> buy only one link per page.

And finally, to relate to Andy’s problem, yes, rapid bursts in your link building program followed by not so productive fazes, could get your website sandboxed

I’m on my way of trying your recommendation!
Cheers,
Cristian

Cristian

Thanks for the note. All seems to be well at this point. And thanks Michelle for the resource.

I don’t think buying text links is necessary bad. It’s fine if the link is relevant to what’s being posted. However, if the doesn’t add or detracts value from the content, then that’s when the link/site should be penalized.

Has anyone tried the paid part of this and if so was it worth it as $99 per month seems pretty steep…
