I Already Made a Mistake In the Launch

by Michelle MacPhearson

When you launch a new product, there’s a whole list of stuff you’re supposed to do. If you want to know what all that stuff is, get Jeff Walker’s Product Launch Formula.

But in putting together “30 Minute Backlinks” I decided that my goal was to just get it out there – I didn’t want to delay the release by creating a bunch of hype and hoopla around it. To run a complete Jeff Walker style launch (which I’ve done in the past and had great success with) takes more time then I wanted to put out right now – not because I’m not excited about the product, I adore it, but because one of my goals for 2008 is to move projects from idea to live much faster then I have in the past.

But, I did need to hear from a few random people what they thought of the course now that it’s completed. And I emailed the Social Media Daily list asking for volunteers.

Check out this response:

30 Minute Emails 1 30 Minute Emails 2 30 Minute Emails 3

I’d love to have all those raving, excited emails in public blog comments (a “Launch blog” can be an awesome way to create social proof – comments show people that others are excited and looking forward to a product release, and it can create something of a crowd-mob feeding frenzy) instead of hidden in my email box.

Next I should probably start hunting down JV’s, right? Eh, I’m going to skip it for this too. Like Social Media Daily, word will spread when people see how good it is.

“30 Minute Backlinks” will be available in the early days of next week, and you can still join the Social Media Daily email list to be sent a coupon code prior to launch.
