The end of another week and the public school kids are free for summer vacation here in Petaluma, California. But Little League baseball playoffs are just beginning, so I’m (still) a fully committed
I HATE Local Businesses
I’ve ABHORED the idea of working with small and local businesses. I sent out an email a few months ago – it got my 4th highest open rate EVER – with the subject line, “I HATE Local Businesses” and I meant it. Why? Because most folks are completely ignorant of the opportunities available with online marketing. The idea of attempting to prove the value of online marketing when it’s been my family’s only source of income for 7 years seems asinine - my current existence proves it’s value, right?!
Basically, convincing uninterested and unwilling people that internet marketing CAN bring their brick and mortar stores real value sounds worse then sticking bamboo under my fingernails. Especially when they’ve already been shafted by scammy firms doing SEO circa 2002.
I’m getting over it.
And I’m exploring what one can do with an local marketing firm.
I’ve got a few ideas I’m playing with and experiments I’m running and will be sharing them with you shortly. If you’re into local, stay tuned. If you’ve avoided local in the past (like I have), you might find something more appealing here.
Webinar Expert Needed
I’ve got the products and the audience, but I need someone to run the webinar side of things.
In 2010, I tripped on the stairs, gave myself a concussion and had to go live on a webinar 3 minutes later. In 90 minutes, I made $35,000 commission from that webinar. Then I drove myself to the ER and got checked out (everything was fine other than the concussion). So I know how lucrative webinars are, even when you have a small brain injury – which is why I need YOU!
If you are a TRAINED webinar producer, presenter and organizer, get in touch using the “Contact” form above. Gimme some info about yourself and a link to some presentation or webinar work you’ve done. I suspect there are very few trained people out there.
If you need the training, get it from Joel – he’s the guy who created this business model. Here’s a training session Joel and I did this week on how to become a webinar expert so people like me can hire you – or you can go it on your own with your own products.
Pre-Launches Get Ridic
The best pre-launch vid I’ve ever seen. Check out the whole sequence.
Wow, that’s high bar to set in terms of production value!
A – Z Niche Site Set Up
The guys from the Adsense Flippers blog and podcast released their A – Z guide on their process of “creating and scaling micro-niche Adsense sites.”
It’s damn good. And it’s also free.
(Hella freebie this week!)
Download it here, no opt-in, no nothin’. But say “Thank you” to them, ok?! We’ll pretend like we have some manners, eh!
So long, farewell! That’s it for this week’s recap. Which resource did you like the most – lemme know in the comments so I can look out for more just like it!
