Ed Dale’s Immediate Edge

by Michelle MacPhearson

About a year ago, I canceled most of my subscriptions to online membership sites. I found I was spending too much time browsing new content instead of working on my own projects. This isn’t to say the sites I was a member of didn’t deliver what they promised – 99.9% did. It was a matter of prioritizing where and how I would spend my time.

The only site I still pay a monthly membership fee too – no, I’m not comped – is Dan Raine & Ed Dale’s Immediate Edge. To give you an idea why, here’s some of the *most recent* content posted inside (there’s tons more in the archives):

  • Q&A with Ed & Dan – no holds barred, all questions answered (they do these all the time, very cool)
  • 31 page PDF on setting up a complete sales system – awesome for folks who’ve never done it, includes screenshots, templates, very step-by-step so you can’t go wrong.
  • Updates on two software systems available ONLY to Immediate Edge members
  • Facebook pay per click guides, videos, Q&A’s & call recordings (a really comprehensive series)
  • The latest monthly newsletter (you get a monthly PDF newsletter, plus all the other content inside the members’ area, it’s really must more then promised on the salespage.
  • A ton of resources on niche picking – numbers to look for, where to get ideas, how to do the research for free
  • The Max Edge strategy – you can guess I can’t let this cat out of the bag, but it’s the blueprint from which Edger’s are getting top Google rank for their sites using social media strategies.

The Edge covers beginner, intermediate and advanced strategies.  I wouldn’t still be there if I didn’t learn from it, and newbie marketers find a helping hand getting started as well.  I appreciate the fact that much of the lessons are deliverd as part of a “Project” – that is, the whole Edge team starts a project and gets to see it develop live.  There’s no theory to what’s taught inside, it’s truly hand-on and lean by direct example stuff.

If you’ve room in your subscriptions to join The Immediate Edge, I do recommend you do so.  If you’re already overwhelmed by what you’ve got, it’s really time to pare down your memberships for this one.  I’ve been a member of just about everything out there, and this is the only subscription that remains.

I agree, Michelle. The Immediate Edge is one subscription I wouldn’t be without. Like you I have given up most everything else but couldn’t live without the insights on the Edge (plus the cool tools).

I loved Ed’s Thirty Day Challenge. I wrote a detailed step by step action list for Ed’s 2007 Thirty Day Challenge. If you are interested in this, please check out this action list in the link above.

I love “The Immediate Edge” I would be lost in the dark without it, another that I love is Aaron Brandon’s online business newsletter. Like you I canceled all my other subscriptions because I WAS WASTING TOO MUCH TIME. I just couldn’t bring myself to part with these two. My productivity goes up because of them.

I was a SINGLE CLICK away from registering for ‘The Immediate Edge’ but reality got the better of me.

Right now IM is pretty much an ‘interest’ that I hope I can apply and see pay off in my businesses over time. However, I hardly have the time to read the free advice I’m constantly downloading never mind dedicate the time required for the paid stuff! Just couldn’t justify the cost.

Hmm… tried Immediate Edge right at the start. Good, but not great, certainly not for the $97 a month. Your enthusiasm has made me think again Michelle but I’m about to commit subicide on most else of my monthly expenditure.

Thanks Michelle!!

Yes, I also got into Immediate Edge after the AUG 2007 Thirty Day Challenge (TDC) because there were so many practical how-to’s for internet marketeers. They don’t speak in glorified generalities, it is concrete stuff. Myself I am trying to sell hard items versus the digital products.
There is still a plethora of knowledge to absorb and to put into practice.
Michelle I remember your helpful comments in the TDC blogs.

Thanks Michelle I agree with you. i have been a member of the Edge for 12 month now and it is my only monthly membership. I learn so much from Dan and Ed. Ed’s current series on creating videos is not to be missed.

THanks for posting this review. It sounds like this one might be worth my time.

Not impressed with the content on thirty day challenge. It seems rather counterintuitive to ask people to pay $97 upfront to just sampling the content. Could be great, but I rather stay at the top of the game by myself than using information someone else is paid handsomely to provide for me.

just finished the 2008 30DC and I’m not sure if i should join stompernet or The Immediate Edge. after reading this post I’m leaning towards Immediate Edge thanks.

I could not agree more:)

Hello Fish

I joined Stompernet at the beginning of the year, and went through SMARTS. I have just signed up for the Immediate Edge, and for me there is no contest! Dan and Ed make things simple to understand and put into immediate use, plus the costs are far lower.

Judging on what I have so far looked at and implemented, you won’t go wrong with Immediate Edge.

If it’s Stomper v. Immediate Edge, I’d go with the Edge.

I am beginning to become very interested in Ed Dale. The first time I heard about him was from the late Gary Halbert a few years ago. Now there is buzz about him on multiple blogs I visit. Gary said he was the guy he trusted with his internet marketing. I’m going to take a closer look.

Hi,

I have been interested in Immediate Edge
and I am also looking at Authority Site Center.

They are both the same price monthly.

Any input is welcome,

I’m not a member of the immediate edge website but have sampled Ed Dale ‘Thirty Day’ challenge and from that I can see that what he offers is more thorough than most.

I believe that Stompernet is really for those with SERIOUSLY SOLID businesses making LOTS of money – like, um, PEPSI Co.

I would not advise a beginner to join StomperNet. (later when financially able as Donald Trump, yes, do join) Frankly, Ken Evoy beats them all hands down.

But since Ken Evoy does not have a membership site, per se, I think one should go over The Thirty Day Challenge again and again and again – make some money then decide based on what others are sharing on forums about their own experiences with teachers like Ed Dale, StomperNet, etc……

This is yet another post that is simply an affiliate trying to sell Immediate Edge. I tried it, I tried the 30DC, I tried market samurai.

Waste of time. The information is available for free all over the internet on thousands of pro blogging blogs.

Michelle MacPhearson December 5, 2009 at 3:11 pm

@John – I’m a member of the Edge and have been since it began. I use Market Samurai every day. The 30 Day Challenge IS free, your comment leads me to believe you haven’t actually “tried” any of it, as you would have known that if you had.
