DAY 13 OBJECTIVE
Catch up on any #31DIMM assignments you’ve not yet finished!
DAY 13 ASSIGNMENT
Review the previous Internet Marketing Makeover posts and their tasks and complete anything you haven’t gotten to yet:
All About You
- Update any “About” pages to include the 4 key elements that encourage visitor engagement
- Include a “Contact” form on your sites
Preparing for Utter Interwebs Disaster
- Implement a backup system for your sites and blogs
- Secure the server(s) your sites are hosted on
- Secure your Wordpress installations
- Improve your site load time and overall speed
- Check for and remove broken or outdated links
Know What Your Competition Doesn’t
- Install Google Analytics on all of your sites
- Link Google Analytics with Google Adsense
- Create an XML sitemap for each of your sites and submit those sitemaps to the search engines
- Create a Google Webmaster Tools account and add your sitemap(s)
Your Niche is Evolving – Are You?
- Reaffirm that your main keyword phrase has proper competition and traffic, if not, select a new one
- Reaffirm that your long tail keyphrases have proper competition and traffic, if not, select new ones
- Find new long tail keyphrases that may not have existed or been attractive when you first researched your niche
Search Engine Bait
- Optimize your home page for your main keyword phrase
- Create content for your long tail keyword phrases
- Optimize the long tail pages for their individual keyword phrase
9 Folders
- Delete old, outdated, broken and irrelevant materials related to internet marketing from your harddrive
- Organize the remaining files into the 9 subfolders for easy reference

These helpful hints have sure helped me. It’s easy to overlook the necessities of a business and websites when so wrapped up in day to day operations. With your help I am becoming better organized and have refocused on what is more important. One can always benefit with more efficient use of time.
