Is Your Supermarket Web 2.0 Compliant?

by Michelle MacPhearson

This new video may rival my all-time favorite in the “What the Heck Is Web 2.0″ category.

“People who bought red wine, cereal and candy and also bought condoms.”

Web 2.0 “recommendations” might be just a cross-sell. What if you implemented that “recommendation” technique, a la Amazon, into your sales (or thank-you) pages? Even that particular phrasing is familiar to people these days and they are likely to be comfortable with it.

Actually, lots of ideas to glean from this video on both how you can integrate Web 2 techniques into your sales process and how you could bring those techniques offline.

Great content, I like the originality and of course the 2.0 factors, also like the ideas presented here with the product tags, fun, bread, brown & the RSS egg at the end… open up to suggestions from this video and your store will too.
