Marketers Totally Lie (but you knew that)

by Michelle MacPhearson

A disturbing discovery, brought on by my experiments with PayPerPost.

There are people out there selling “How To Make Money on the Internet” type products – people who actually have built a reputation in the internet marketing industry as being uber-successful and worth listening to – who aren’t making shite for money.

Well, I suppose you probably already guessed that. And, what has been brought to my attention isn’t undeniable proof that these people are in fact failing miserably. But it sure points in that direction.

See, there are internet marketers using PayPerPost’s service as posters, not disclosing the posts as such, and spending what amounts to a considerable amount of time day-to-day posting on their blogs for a few bucks. (I know this because they have posted for my own products).

I can’t imagine a circumstance where spending that kind of time, for those few dollars, is the best use of time for someone who’s doing well financially and running a successful business. I know it’s certainly not worth my time.

And I’m not talking a post here and there just to check out how the system works, for research or future reference. Regular, continued, sustained posting. S-A-D.

And it’s all even more disturbing because, as I mentioned originally, these are people with decent reputations, people that are considered to be successful. And they’re soooo not.

Funny thing is, if they’re that hard up for cash, they’d be better off joining my affiliate program and earning $23.50/sale rather then $5/post. Same amount of work, better return with the affiliate link.

Really, I have no idea how those levitra and western union posts appeared on my blog!

The blog fairy must’ve left them…

But seriously, even if I were to do it, I’d set up another blog to do dubious stuff. If it’s being done on a site clearly linked to them, then it’d be kinda….weird.

Ah well, different strokes for different folks.
