Pay-Per-Post got $3 million in VC, perhaps the pay-per-digg model will follow suit?
Ed Dale posted about his prediction for 2007 to be the year of buying and selling websites. I see VC money popping up all over the place and think it’s a great time, if you’ve got a clever idea, so get a site out there, wait for angel investors and cash out.
Also, check out User/Submitter – you’ll pay per digg, no guarantees you’ll make it to the front page. This seems a bit more skeezy to me then Pay Per Post, since you’re messing with another service rather then your own blog, but a great idea nonetheless.
Digg is apparently, well, pissed. And apparently have already started banning accounts on a IP basis if they’ve been found to be associated with User/Submitter. So I don’t know how long the site will last, but as a concept, it, like PayPerPost, are worth studying.
