As Doug said it's unethical to put testimonials which are made up. Now If you are really and haven't sold anything yet then you might request some of the top marketers to review your product. Ask them what they think about your product. If they can give you something positive then you are done, even two such positive comments would do. Of course not everyone would agree but if you persist you can find someone. Please remember this is just my suggestion and not a recommendation.

thank you

Hello,

This was very useful - and together with the other tips from your latest email (Hyperlink maker - downloaded, Icon Buffet - signed up, Justin.tv - watching now!) - has been one of the best, most diverse things in my inbox the past couple of months.
Thank you.

If you are selling IM stuff, it's easy to get testimonials. Fellow marketers would gladly give a testimonial for a copy of your product and a backlink from your site. But when you're dealing in a niche, it's not so easy. I've tried giving a few copies away in exchange for a testimonial, but then I never get it.

Most of this seems obvious once you think of it, but I have a question about testimonials.
How do you get them when you haven't sold anything yet?
