If you’re using Squidoo as an income generator, how much can actually be made there?
The thing is, if you’re participating in revenue share, you won’t make SQUAT. If your Squidoo income for the month is over $0.50, consider yourself lucky.
The purpose of Squidoo, if you actually want to make any money, is to use it for two purposes:
- Building links to your own network of sites to increase their link popularity
- Creating a Squidoo lens that ranks high, and directs people immediately towards your “money” page – that might be an affiliate link or your own website that sells something.
That’s it. The question of how much Squidoo income one can make is irrelevant, it’s really about using Squidoo to produce income elsewhere.

Like you, I dont worry so much about the revenue share and I know they make a ton from the adsense. But as for them sharing adsense I am not so sure everyone is treated the same and I think you have to be a BIG user for some time before you get the big payouts.

To make big money on Squidoo takes some effort, but if you have well focused lenses (pun intended) with some carefully chosen affiliate products, you can make some good money. Some solid networking can also help.
My personal favorite for affiliate revenue is Amazon, especially in the run up to Christmas.

Hey Michelle,
I really do agree with you on this one. It is absolutely a waste of time to focus on the revenue sharing aspect of Squidoo.
I have generated thousands of free visitors to my Squidoo lenses, yet the revenue sharing payout from Squidoo is very low.
So I agree…don’t even focus on this. Use Squidoo solely as a traffic builder and one-way linking resource..that is all.

Totally not surprised it doesn’t make much money – like any site you put content up on, the odds of you making mucho dinero is slim.
Yep, you’re right the friend of mine has a lot of different lens, I should say they are rather qualitative. But profits are 0.
But one blogger wrote that he had converted lens visitors to CPA leads.
I have created a lot of unique content in poker thematic on squidoo. I have about 10 lens of good quality. It was done about one year ago.
But I didn’t get any dollar
I agree. I use my main Squidoo lens to create opt-ins for an email list and it works extremely well.
Yes Michelle, I agree with you. although i’m new to internet marketing I built some squidoo with Great SEO.
But really my benifit is from affiliate marketing i do, not from revenue share (may be $1 of monthly revenue share >> hehe)
I agree Squidoo for me is basically a link to my income generating page which is in affiliate sales.
The only purpose I use Squidoo is using it to direct readers to the affiliate pages such as Clickbank vendor’s sales page.
