Timothy Ferriss’ “The Four Hour Workweek” - Review

I just concluded reading Timothy Ferriss’ “The Four Hour Workweek” and I’m so glad to have found a business books who’s vision mirrors my own.

While I am not working just 4 hours per week, I am in a growth phase; launching new products, developing sites, etc. I am choosing to get this new stuff out there and to spend a bit more time working.

Were I to eliminate all that and just do the bare minimum, I could probably get away with about 8 hours/week.

“The Four Hour Workweek” has encouraged me to not only automate and outsource even more of my ongoing work, but also the new development stuff I’m doing too.

It gave me several ideas on tasks I *could* be outsourcing but am not, as well as confirmation that outsourcing and working less doesn’t necessarily mean I don’t deserve the money I’m making.

While the book is full of specific tricks, tactics and step-by-step plans to help you on your way to living as “New Rich,” I found the mindset to be the most valuable asset for me (as a kick in the pants!).

I highly recommend this book to anyone tired of being tied down by any kind of responsibilites (work or personal) that they want to let go of and aren’t quite sure how.

Hi Michelle! It’s funny you just finished Tim Ferris’s book around the same time I did and reviewed it in your blog! I too feel the book has some wicked teachings in it that we all could use and it definitely needs to go out to all internet business folk out there! I’m new to the Internet Business arena so Tim’s book was a real eye opener and has already changed my approach to this arena. I continue to find your blog and associated products very informative and useful. Keep it up!

Hi Michelle,

Interesting read. I am currently on a 92 hours/week schedule. My dreams are limited to 40hours/week at this point.

Hi Michelle! Just checked out the book on Amazon and decided to buy it. Definitely something I am working towards. I need to get 80 hours down to 8 at least! :) Hope all is well.

Glad you all checked this one out - it’s worth every penny. I’ve already made changes with stuff that I just hate doing, that don’t take much time, but bring me down because I *hate* the tasks. There’s a lot of freedom in offloading things!

Erika - I know you sent me a message somewhere - through my contact form or via MBL? I don’t remember and I can’t find it! Will you message me via the contact form here? I promise not to lose you again and will get back to you ASAP!

Hey Michelle

I’ve completed his book a while back, about the same time as you…but only got to researching the outsourcing now. And while doing that, I came across your post. Great review and I totally agree with Tim’s concept as well.

How nice :-)
