What’s in store for you and your business in 2009? I’m not a huge planner, in that I don’t have like a mindmap of everything that I’m going to do laid out for next year. But I do have a few products in development that I know I’ll release, and I do have some lessons learned from this year that I’ll work on improving next year, etc.
But aside from individual, specific plans, I look at my mindset at the end of each year and try to recalibrate it for the coming year. To me, this means wiping the slate clean and starting anew. And it also means setting my thoughts towards the positive, anticipating and almost feeling how awesome the next year is going to be.
I asked some Twitter folks how they were gonna rock 2009 and some of the responses are below. Everyone was so enthusiastic, I had to share it with you. Enjoy – and be inspired. How will your 2009 be awesome?

2009: the year I take what I know to do and combine it with *consistent* action. Already started on that with a Mastermind group. Giving me CRAZY great ideas, suggest everyone form one and participate.
Hi Michelle
Hope you are well.
Hows the update coming on the software you were going to tell us about – in your last but 2 email- regarding the 30 minutebacklinks.
Did not hear from you about it??
Hamnat
@Hamant Keval: Coming shortly – will email when it’s available!
@Tinu: Consistency is sooo important – and I think many of us, who don’t have bosses breathing down our necks, find it’s the hardest part! Speed of implementation…
Very useful. But what I’ve found is that the behavior of people on different social marketing platforms (actually across all web 2 media) can be hugely different, also when compared with search engine behavior. People on Facebook behave differently to people on Google or MSN. When you’re on Facebook you tend not to be looking for something to buy. But I think Web 2 properties really come into their own when it comes to the importance of BRANDING (oh yes!).
It would be good to see comparative studies of behavior across all major web 2 properties. I suppose it’s early days yet….
