Where is Michelle MacPhearson?

by Michelle MacPhearson

Well, things are rather slow around here these days, eh?

I’m still buried in non-IM niches, as well as  getting a new routine for the family now that my oldest has started Kindergarten.  It’s lunch packing and homework (I can’t believe how much homework he gets!) and classroom volunteering and whatnot.

I’m considering putting together an ongoing case-study of using “Social Media Daily” methods to promote a non-IM, niche site.   I think it will be a good way of showing exactly what goes into this kind of site promotion, as well as demonstrating the kind of results that can be achieved (multiple slots on the first page of Google).

So much for getting #1 in Google – what about achieving #1, #4, #7 and #8?  Much better, IMHO….   :-)

Anyway, I’ve near wrapped up these additional projects, and will be back on the blog in full force with some great info on YouTube ranking.

Michelle,
I know what you mean by getting into a new routine. My kids just started 4th grade at a new school across town. They have to get to bed at different times and get to the bus earlier than they’d leave for school last year.
In the middle of all this, I’ve been traveling AND I’m working on a new product myself which helps businesses/entrepreneurs. I’m going to market it to the IM crowd first but probably branch out soon afterwards.
I’ll definitely be using social media marketing techniques. I can’t wait to see what you’re working on and come up with.

Have a good one!

Michelle,

While I don’t have kids, I must concur with you on how much time a Non-IM niche can take as I’ve just began work on one myself. It has a lot of future opportunities and getting the first line of content, products, and marketing materials together is much more time consuming than I originally planned. That being said, I also have to agree with you that making a case study on yourself being successful in a Non-IM Niche, is a great idea as many new internet marketers don’t realize that success can lie there as well. I may have to incorporate that idea into my strategy, and detail the processes I go through from creation to release. The newbie can use all the help they can get. Keep up the great work!

Keep up the non IM testing! I can’t wait to hear the results of your studies. I am enjoying the search rankings that my videos on youtube and elsewhere have been generating in my local niche. This stuff is GOLD! I am also using your ideas in non IM niches as well. I had one video that was uploaded on Monday and by Thursday it was hitting on the first page google search for the keywords I was targeting. As I learn to make even better use of these concepts I expect to continue to see great results in my non IM niches.

The techniques in your Social Media report definitely work well outside of the IM niche. There are tons of different niches that can be profitable. If you explore some of these 2.0 communities it’s a good way to get ideas about what people are buzzing about.

Hey Michelle,

You probably already know this, but your pal Justin Brooke (SEO Lies) mentioned you ‘fondly’ in his eBook and having read both his and your eBooks, I think its a dead heat on which one was more useful to me in better understanding how and why backlinks are a major piece of the puzzle.

Cheers,
